The dog days of summer are coming to a close and the fall weather is slowly creeping in! Even though the evenings are getting shorter, take advantage of the cooler temps and explore the beauty of SWVA. Every Monday from 5 PM – 9 PM, the Main Street Food Truck Rodeo in downtown Wise is serving up delicious, affordable meals. Every truck has a meal that is $10 or less! Scott County
Join friends and loved ones at the first annual Makers and Growers Festival at the Scott County Career and Technical Center. Celebrate local artisans, farmers, producers, and small businesses, as well as the talented students at SCCTC. Expect food trucks, craft and farm vendors, local artisans, demonstrations, and more! Friday, September 26th, from 4 PM – 7 PM, and Saturday, September 27th, from 9 AM – 2 PM. In addition to the festival, check out live Bluegrass and old time country music every Saturday night at the historic Carter Family Fold. Tickets are available for all shows and range from $10 – $20.

Join the Smyth County Chamber of Commerce for Vintage in the Valley Antiques and Arts Festival on September 27th from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM! Vintage in the Valley is during the 71st annual Chilhowie Apple Festival. Antique and vintage vendors will line this Historic Main Street in Downtown Chilhowie, displaying and selling their treasurers. Bring a chair and enjoy the live music from local bluegrass bands!
